The Wound Management Home Skills Program will help you learn and practice the skills needed for optimal wound healing. The program includes care and skill instruction for complex lacerations, abrasions, postoperative surgical wounds, and non-healing wounds.
This standardized interactive program has been developed by a multidisciplinary program of the Â鶹´«Ã½Division of Education in collaboration with the American Burn Association, American College of Wound Healing & Tissue Repair, The American Society of Plastic Surgery, Wound Healing Society, Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN), and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). The Wound Home Management Skills Kit has been funded in part by grants from Smith & Nephew, Acelity, and Ethicon.
The skills program contains booklets and video demonstrations.
Use the self-assessment checklist and references for additional support. Please complete the evaluation below or in the back of the booklet and return to the ACS so we can continue to improve this program to best meet your needs.
There are six videos that support the skills explained in the booklets. Watch the ones you need for your wound care.
