The public Find a Surgeon database lists Fellows and Associate Fellows of the ACS. The tool can assist you in finding a qualified surgical specialist who is either a Fellow of the 鶹ý (FACS) or working towards their Fellowship. The letters “FACS” indicates that he or she is a Fellow of the ACS. Fellows are board-certified surgeons whose education, training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct are reviewed and consistent with the high standards of the ACS. Not all surgeons are accepted as Fellows, and some surgeons choose not to become Fellows. Learn more about what it means to be FACS.
