The Â鶹´«Ã½for Patients

You have a role in your recovery, and the resources on this page can help you actively participate in your care both in the hospital and at home. We're here to answer your questions and guide you along the way.

Find a Surgeon

Find a Surgeon can assist you in finding a qualified surgical specialist who is either a Fellow of the Â鶹´«Ã½ (FACS) or working toward their Fellowship. The letters “FACS” after a surgeon’s name indicate that he or she is a Fellow of the ACS. Fellows are board-certified surgeons whose education, training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct are reviewed and consistent with the high standards of the ACS.

Find a Hospital or Facility

When you need an operation or receive a diagnosis of cancer, you want to find a hospital, facility, or institution that follows best practices and uses the current guidelines to ensure your best recovery. The Â鶹´«Ã½reviews and accredits centers that meet those high standards.
